Outset Torbay has been delivering an award-winning programme of business start-up support since September 2010, thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund, Torbay Development Agency and Coastal Communities Fund. In that time, we’ve made an incredible impact in this city, supporting the creation of more than 332 new businesses and over 363 new jobs, contributing more than £1.6 million back into the Torbay economy. Find out more about our current funding situation.
Outset was established by YTKO Group in 2009 to help stimulate economic development and help people ‘give themselves a job’ by equipping people with the essential skills, knowledge and confidence to start their own business. We empower people to take charge of their lives and overcome a range of potential barriers or challenges on their journey to self-employment, and we pride ourselves on offering flexible, friendly and practical support. We work closely with the national Enterprising Women community, to ensure that our programme upholds best practice principles for supporting women in business.
Nationally, the Outset service has supported the creation of 4,304 new businesses and 4,771 new jobs thanks to services operating across the South West and East of England.
