Call for local businesses

Businesses wanting to promote their services to more than 400 delegates from all over the south west are being invited to take a sponsored exhibition stand at the Torbay Development Agency’s 21st Century Business event on February 8 at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.

So far 420 delegates have registered, meeting full capacity at this exciting workshop led by ex-Dragon’s Den panellist and now business mentor, Doug Richard, on behalf of leading business support agency, School for Startups.

To take up a sponsorship or exhibition package at this high profile regional event, contact Helena Davison at Torbay Development Agency 01803 208973 or email: helena.davison@tedcltd.com

Mayor of Torbay Gordon Oliver said: “This is a great opportunity for local companies and organisations that offer services to businesses to come along and showcase themselves at this government supported regional event. Torbay Council and its economic development company, Torbay Development Agency, is committed to putting Torbay on the map as a centre for business – and this event will help to do just that – at the same time as supporting local enterprise and helping to generate growth.

21st Century Business is the second day of a two-day programme running on 7 and 8 February instigated by central Government to boost the regional economy, in partnership with School for Startups.

Doug Richard said: “The potential in Torbay is tremendous, and with the government backed development plans there is a real opportunity for companies young and old to benefit. Come along to both our events and learn the best of the digital tricks and techniques and which pitfalls you should avoid”
