Outset Torbay, the A £1.8m support programme funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Torbay Development Agency has announced dates for a series of free Saturday workshops for anyone interested in exploring self-employment or launching a new business.
Outset Torbay, (the local business start-up support programme offering free, practical training and mentoring) has launched the new weekend sessions to enable more local people to get the support they need, when they need it.
Helen Harman, Programme Director for Outset Torbay says “We recognize that many people who want to explore the idea of self-employment find it difficult to attend sessions during the week, due to family or work commitments. We’re delighted to be putting on new weekend workshops to help make our free business start-up support more accessible to those who need it. We anticipate that the weekend workshops will be very popular!”
Torbay Development Agency’s Urban Enterprise Coordinator, Carl Wyard, said: “We are very pleased to see Outset Torbay delivering these events for people considering starting a business. The support from Outset forms part of a wide range of support packages to help Torbay businesses start up, develop and grow.”
Outset Torbay will be launching its new Introduction to Enterprise workshops on Saturday 7th May at Paignton Library. The 8 week programme of friendly and informal sessions will help budding entrepreneurs consider whether self-employment is right for them by exploring the feasibility of their business idea.
Anyone wishing to book a place on these free workshops should contact the Outset Torbay team on 0800 032 2905, or email email@example.com.
